IP58 new upcoming incremental programmable encoder

IP58 incremental programmable encoder was announced to be released this month of September. But, as you all know, at Lika we always strive to provide the most advanced innovations and the highest quality at the most competitive price. To enhance this project we have developed and implemented new state-of-the-art components; now we are improving the software features to make sure our high-resolution IP58 will meet the most sophisticated industrial requirements and most of all your unique demands. It promises superior performances in terms of flexibility, programmability and precision. At kick-off in the beginning of 2013 it will live up to the most exigent customer's expectations for certain, thanks to the new upgraded features and improvements.
IP58 is the optical incremental encoder designed to offer fully programmability for high-performance industrial automation systems and demanding applications. It provides both maximum flexibility and customization and a large variety of mechanical and electrical configurations to always suit multiple needs. Advanced programming features allow to perfectly set the encoder according to customer's specific needs. They include: resolution, Index pulse position, Index pulse width, counting direction. The pulse rate (number of counts per revolutions intended as physical resolution) is freely selectable from 1 to 65,536 CPR via software tool supplied for free. Also the position as well as the width of the Index pulse (zero signal once per revolution as relative positioning reference) can be adjusted to suit the individual application requirements. Index pulse can be either synchronized with both A and B signals and have a duration of a quarter period; or synchronized with A signal only and have a duration of half a period. Remote zero can be set up also via dedicated input. IP58 incremental encoder further allows to set the counting direction: incremental count is made either when the disk is rotating in a clockwise direction (i.e. when the rising edge of signal A leads the rising edge of channel B); or, on the contrary, when the disk is rotating in a counterclockwise direction (i.e. when the rising edge of signal B leads the rising edge of channel A). The +5-30VDC Universal output interface is yet another remarkable benefit: this well-proven circuit is compatible with both Push-Pull and Line Driver circuits thus it ensures the highest interfaceability with subsequent electronics; it delivers square wave signals with complementary outputs (AB0, /AB0). As far as the precision is concerned, the reliable optical sensor technology has been shown to be two to three times more accurate than similar products actually in the market, a great advantage for high-performance and high-speed applications.
Mechanically it comes in the standard 58-mm flange diameter design and the whole range of mechanical connections to meet the variety of requirements for simple and quick installation. Hollow (Ø 14, 15 mm) and solid (Ø 6, 8, 9.52, 10, 12 mm) shaft are both available in a 100% safely-sealed housing with IP65 protection rate.
