This automated special purpose machine was designed and manufactured for automotive component assembly. This custom-made machine is adapted to the productions and automation needs of the client. The process to perform is the riveting of different components of a seat track. This solution is composed of a rotary transfer with the following main technical features: - Rigid welded Machine base - Rotary table - Sub-table with 6 stations - Three set of fixtures suitable for three different styles of guides - Components presence control. - Two AGME Riveting machines, each mounted on a CNC slide - Riveted parts ejection by a robot Description of the cycle Station 1: Lower guides, brackets and rivets manual feeding Station 2: Check Parts Presence and correct model Control Station 3: Riveting of 2 rivets on one guide side. Station 4: Free Station 5: Riveting of 2 rivets on other guide side Station 6: Robot ejection. Nok parts to the reject slide. These machines require minimum adjustments and are fully automatic except for the parts manual feeding Thanks to the process controller in the machine, it is possible to eradicate human error and provide savings on cycle time and quality.
